For those that showed up at Busco Beach, Thank You. We always have a great time and look forward to seeing new and old members. The weather had its moments, Saturday's rain made for the best ride on Sunday. ArgoJim and Only Once make for some of the best leaders to follow, they always find the MUD that makes everyone happy. Ricks son Jon and his Attex did a good job showing us what a good driver he will become. Looking forward to all the videos that were taken. Again we had a blast and have already made reservations for OCTOBER.

It wasn't the same not riding with you Johnboy but I know you made the right decision. Sat. Ride was cold and wet. But we hit some good mud. Sat. Night was so cold and wet we hunkered down in our trailer. I was glad you were not in your tent Saturday night. Glad you got home safe.
It was great riding with everyone, we have some good drivers and leaders. John made some gopro video so we have something to look at later.
Take care everyone and see you in the fall Lord willing.

Great to see everyone that was there again and sorry we missed those we did not. Nice riding with spotty mud that was challenging Thursday and Friday, great Busco memories as Saturday rains filled everything again though with a persistent rain an dropping temperatures pretty much killing anyone's ambition for a night ride ( poor Kinyon's), Keith took us on a nice amphibious vehicle only ride on Sunday finding as much just deep enough water to be a smooth ride with minimal stucks.
My machine did very well though the tube attrition was 7 maybe 8 causing Sundays ride, of Rick in it, ending up with only 2 not spinning on the bead. 6 of mine ad 1-2 of Jon's went home with water in them.
Jon did very well in the Attex ST/300 conversion running until Sunday and making all but 1 ride when I stole the tires after his exhaust broke, Thanks Jon and Rick for the sacrifice. Jon and the light Attex with 22's was impressive even after the final belt width was about 1/2" and running with 5 good tires on Sundays afternoon ride.
The tracked machines followed us around as expected with no issues other than Johnboy's carnage. Heckle and Jeckle were fun as always and leant the weekends entertainment to comical extremes as usual along with the now "IV Team" following or riding around the pack. Great to see Bob again, SORRY no one wanted to ride with you Saturday so you soloed with a lucky near camp break.
Frabbit nice to hear you were talking with littleg, be nice to see you in October if you could make it. Gil would be happy to chauffer you around if your machines are still up north.Last edited by ARGOJIM; 04-10-2018, 04:58 PM.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

Great time riding as always. Ate a little dust on Fridays riding, but boy did the conditions make a turn for the better with the heavy rain. Saturdays and Sundays trails were a slick fest, with as much slipping and sliding as you could handle. I too felt sorry for the Kinyon's with the temp dropping Sat night into the 30's with rain and no rain gear, but they held tough. Great to see all.

Thanks to all who came and of course missed those who didn't make it this time. Great riding as always, dry but plenty of mud on the outer trails thru the woods. Was a long week for us but well worth it as it gave Jon some seat time in Attex before hitting the trails. A big thanks to Johnboy for welding the axle hub back on jon's machine. Sorry Johnboy that you had to leave early due to breakage, hope you get er fixed up and back to what it was. Thanks to Jim, Keith, Sonny, Mike, Johnboy and Martin for the help with Jon's Attex throughout the weekend. Overall not bad at all as far as the build went, now i know a lot more about what i need to work on to get it better. Was very proud of Jon for the way he drove that thing and thanks for the kind words Deedeelin and Jim. Was great to see Bob again and thanks to Sonny and Mike for taking Jon for a back seat ride a couple of nights, he enjoyed that. Felt bad for the Kinyon's as well but i know Quentin will remember that ride saturday as he thought we were going over twice lol. Also want to add what a good job Jim did throwing that 6 I/C together in time for the trip. Machine went anywhere and besides the old school manuals breaks was a fun machine to drive even with 3,4,5 or 6 tires. Good job! Take care everybody we'll see you next time.

it was easy to find the trouble once i was home and the mud washed off . once in the garage and jacked up , it was a bad bearing on the center axle throwing the sprocket out of line. i'm doing a frame mod that should really beef things up and simplify the drive system . i will also gain another 6'' height so i should have better eye contact with deedee and chris !! i'm mounting the axles on slotted plates so if i need to change bearings i just need to unbolt each bearing flange and the axle and sprockets will drop right down. then i can do the repairs on the workbench. plates will be slotted also for taking up chain tension like on a rear motorcycle wheel . will have plenty of room for putting the outer axle bearings almost to the hubs for good axle support also . no rush for the build..it will be fun. keep you posted and will take pictures of the progress. later.. johnboy va.
