  • Busco Beach in NC, April 3-5, 2020

On March 29th at 5pm, Busco Beach will be closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Be sure to check their Facebook page for future updates.

6X6 World semi-annual Spring trail ride at Busco Beach Off Road Park in Goldsboro, NC! Come ride with your fellow members and get to know the face (and six wheeler) behind the username. This is a great offroad park for AATVs.

Most people will arrive on Thursday night late or Friday morning early and stay through Sunday or Monday. If you haven't been on a ride and there is any way you can make it, I encourage you to come out and ride with some other AATVs even if just for a day. Here's the info:

    When:
    April 3-5, 2020

    Where:
Busco Beach off road park in Goldsboro, NC.

Here is a Google map of Busco Beach so you can see how far it is from where you live: Map of Busco Beach

Here is a link to their website: Busco Beach

    They offer:

    - A mud pit
    - Several ponds
    - A drag strip
    - MX Tracks
    - 1800 acres of trails
    - Bath houses with bathrooms and showers
    - A concession stand during the day

    Cost:
    $5 entrance fee per person
$10 per ATV that you bring

    Primitive Camping - $5 a night
    RV camping w/ hookup (30A) - $25 a night

    What's Required:
The park requires riders to wear helmets unless you have three-point or greater roll-over protection. This requirement applies whenever you are in your ATV and it is moving. This means as long as you have a roll cage, you do not have to wear helmets. On any ATV without a roll cage or on any ATV with just a roll bar, the riders must wear helmets.

Drew, I for one thank you for stepping up and doing this for the group that loves Busco Beach. The dates look great for us, but all dates look great for us.

I don't mind. I hope this works out for most that want to attend.

I know there are other amphibs that ride Busco, perhaps see if they will throw something up on their calendar for those not in this loop. Added attendance is always good.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I'm going to call and put my reservations in soon. I'll be up in "b" zone as well. I cant take a chance with the motorhome. I would never have made it out last year.

deedee .. not right by the showers , but down a little . i think it was so crowded back at the back last time ( more than usual ) and with it being so dusty it was just talked about as a possibility . i'm game either way . may be more room there and the lakes are nice . any other thoughts are great . j.b.

Rick, Thank you. At no time did we ever wish the Mudd-Ox would sell before the Honda, but I could not keep both of them going. Now I can work on the OX when my back allows. Will be swapping out Lightbars and doing other things on it. But with only one toy left I believe I will be able to manage for a few more years. With that said, HOW is DaddyGil? I hope he is going to make it in April. I don’t know of anywhere that the dust doesn’t go when it’s dry. Kris said that maybe over by the towers where the grass is might be a consideration for you guys, just a thought. I should have my 65,000lm lightbar on for AJ by April. Again thank you for your kind words.

Just glad you and Kris will be riding with us for a few more years and that y'all are in something that will not leave you stranded or stuck. Thanks for asking about Dad, hope he will be there in April. He is doing ok just a lot of Dr. appts. Jim says the brighter the better! Grass area is an idea, mudbash weekends are always busy and like Johnboy said it was a little tight back there.

I like the idea of going where that grass area is as you are heading in to the entrance on the right. There's usually not as many people back there and the best part is no dust. Just my 2 cents.

also back at the regular spot we've been using may not be near as crowded if it's not a '' big event '' weekend and no dust if it's been rainy ...which we hope for . but there was a ton of dust even at the grass area because there were so many people there too . j.b.
