Well Busco did not disappoint. There was plenty of stop and go action to be had for all types of machines. The area around the power lines was a graveyard for both wheeled and tracked machines with just about everyone having to be towed out one way or another. The mud there this time turned any tire into a slick ceasing any forward action in short order. Combine that with good trail riding 24hrs a day and you know why we head to Busco. Many times you would see fellow riders in the distance, but trying to work your way over to them without getting stuck would take forever.

Mud was awful, I spent the first half of my day pulling out machines, I had heard that that Ralph's Mudd Ox was Badly stuck I drove into that area to see if I could help, it was as bad as every had stated, getting to any of the stuck machines was nearly impossible. Seems that the Mudd Ox Wasn't really stuck, it was sitting at a 45 degree angle and couldn't get any fuel. Once Ralph and his wife waded through the mud and got the Machine fueled with diesel Ralph got the machine fueled and started, The mud was awful and I didn't believe that machine could possibly move. I must say that I BOW TO THE MUD OX, IN MUD SO BAD THAT ANY OTHER MACHINE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SPIN IT'S TIRES OR TRACKS RALPH EASED ON THE FUEL AND THAT MACHINE BEGAN TO MOVE. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!! ABOUT AN HOUR LATTER I THREW A TRACK AND HAD TO CUT MY DAY SHORT because I injured both my left leg and right shoulder. The simple job of reinstalling a track became a big issue with the injuries. Both my son and I were injured, and the Grand kids were whining so we called it a day-see you next time.

Best time ever, even with all the breakdowns and foot deep peanut butter mud. I was very pleased with the Kubota performance until the motor plate decided to rid it's self of all four legs. I'd probably be there still riding, but too big of a repair, no quick fix.

Thanks everyone for a good time getting muddy.

I have never had an Argo so dirty, must have had over 200 pounds of mud on the machine, the clay sticks when wet but washes off easier than Texas mud, one set of ADAIR TRACKS WEIGHS 100 POUNDS, i WILL BET THEY WERE OVER 300 POUNDS WITH ALL THE MUD CAKED ON THEM.

After power washing the thrown track it slipped right back on without a problem, I kinda pushed the machine really hard to see if it would throw a track, well it did, and it happened at the worst time. There wasn't a soul around to help me load that mud laden track into my machine, well I pushed the limits and found out just what not to do. Sorry folks. no video this time, the driving conditions were so extreme that I had to focus on what I was doing

              Dan,
Sorry you had a rough time out there, but at least you had company. Thank you for letting my daughter ride with you and your grand-daughter. She had fun and talked about her adventure with her new friend and her grampa.

I have some pics and video to post. Hopefully tonight.

This is why we love BUSCO BEACH. A very special THANK YOU to ONLYONCE(Keith) MATT and Nick Oxender, Matt answered my distress call he got Nick on it. We went over what might have happened and the next morning, BAM, we were out. This is why my wife LOVES Matt. Keith was there carrying 5 gallons of diesel threw 2 feet of mud to us. Dan Edwards was there asking if he could do anything. Thank you guys, THANK YOU

well...yes , it was definately extreme mud conditions. not only was there alot , but as stated it was thick, sticky , and deep . my max 2 highboy did great with the tracks . it had'nt got stuck at all till we hit the power lines . without thinking about it , i plowed in there with everyone else . after 300 ft. , that was it . i had lost a track . nothing i could do , so slowly made my way to the mud ox and helped with that till it was getting dark. so my and ralphs mud ox spent the night out there . ( who's going to steal them ? ) with the help of dan , keith , and xbuns on saturday , 2 machines pulled me out . got the track back on and we made it back to camp 5 hrs. later . thanks for all the help guys !! it was still a fun time , just more challenging . johnboy va.

My family and I had a great time out there. The mud was really thick all day Saturday, but the early evening rain seemed to soften it up to make for an awesome night ride. Thank you Jim and Rick for the expert leading and planning.

I will schedule the April ride as soon as I know when Mud Bash is so we can avoid it. I am not a big fan of the massive crowds and I know a few others feel the same.

Here is a video of some pics and footage my wife got while riding. You get to see a lot of my hat.

Had a great time as always. Conditions were typical wet busco, which means peanut butter and stuck machines. Enjoyed riding with everybody and hanging out with great people. Did not get to ride with a few people this time but will next time. Glad i missed the power line mess, that area was the same if not worse in april when we went. Happy to say i got a lot of good quality time with my family, thanks everyone for coming. Have short video of power line conditions. See y'all next time

Wow Rick by the time I got there were only 2 machines stuck, but the Mudd Ox wasn't really stuck it was out of fuel, once Ralph filled that machine up he pulled right out of that mud, it was very, very impressive.
