  • "THE MOUNDS", Flint Michigan.

As of 6-15-09. post poned few weeks or something.

My Brother,a few members and I have been planning a trip to "The Mounds" sometime this summer.

I have only been there once, in a truck. Few years back. I am not sure about overnight camping or anything. I dont think there is any. Maybe Artist1018 would know, as I believe he has been there lots. This may only be a one day thing? Would like to be a saturday/sunday ride though.

I found few site. The first one seems outdate on prices. I am not sure if per vehicle price is your truck included or just vehicles in trail system? Again, counting on artist. Or anyone else thats been there.

The price of admission is for the off-road vehicle you take into the park. Your tow vehicle is not charged. There are a few hotels in the area but, no campsite at "The Mounds". I will stop by there in the next few days and firm-up the costs and, requirements and post them here after I get the list. Let me know what else you guys & gals need to make this happen.

The second site listed on LarryW's comment is current with prices. $11.00 per day for non-county residents plus a Michigan ORV sticker, for those who do not have one, $16.25. There is a party store on the way that sells those.
We need to chose a couple of different weekends to see who can make it over. Hopefully, someone has a cam corder and/or helmet cam to catch the event as well. Let me know if you want local hotel info.

                      Mounds ride

Hey everyone. My name is Kurt and I live over on the east side of Michigan. I am a college student so I haven't really had much time to work on the 208tt. Just getting out on summer break today and plan on working on the 6x6 really soon. Larry said I could ride his spare if mine isn't done so Ill be able to make it pretty much any weekend.

There is a campground located nearby, Wolverine campground, run by Genesee County Parks & Rec.
They also run "The Mounds". Go to thier website for more info. You can make advanced reservations!! E-mail them for necessary paperwork for your AATV so you come prepared & can get in & not be turned away at the gate!!
Keep me posted & call, if you need more info. By the way, for you Ladies, there is an outlet mall nearby to do some shopping while the "boys" play with thier toys!! Birch Run Outlet Malls.Com
