Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

We had a great day! Not as much mud as we would have liked to play in but was still fun, none the less. There was enough mud to get my new toy dirty! Brian came up on a great deal on a '97 Max II, too good to pass it up. Today was the first test run. For the most part, it ran great thanks to my wonderful mechanic.
Here are few pics from the day:

Man, I hate we missed that. Did you guys get rained on today? It looked like it was raining in a couple of your pictures. It took me a minute to realize that your new max was brown. I thought it was red and just really muddy because of the red body band showing through. I'm a little slow sometimes I'm glad your max did good.

overall a good ride. considering all the rain we have had, CAW was as dry as i've ever seen it. the sandy soil down there must drain really well. we only found 1 mud pit that was even a little bit of a challenge. i spent most of the day wishing it would rain, but it never did. we had a few minor mechaincal issues, but got them sorted out on the trails. I put all new chain adjusters in Beths machine, and didn't have them adjusted quite right. worked on them during our lunch break, and had no issues in the afternoon. i also found out the hard way that the foot brake in the Wild Wolf doesn't work! rolling backward downhill with the T-20 in neutral is an uneasy feeling.
