Yes Lance you are right. Nothing but smiles from everyone, this is a fantastic group of people. Jp seemed to have a great time also,.. even driving the Argo.....i know he is a Attex guy. Was this his first time to drive a Argo?

Lance You did a first also. The first time i have ever seem a bead knocked off and reset it self. I can safely say, this i have never seen before. Way to go Lance!

I have spent about 25-30 hours this week after work editing the footage I took at Busco and timing it with music. I think it is some of the best footage I have gotten there. Since youtube now allows 15 minutes of video, I was going to use as much of that as I could, so the file was larger than normal (over 1.5 GB). It took 6 hours to export to the final video file, and all night last night (from 9pm until 5am this morning) to upload to youtube.

I was pumped up when it finally went live this morning. I hit play on youtube and the audio had been disabled. I typically search for any song that I want to use on youtube before putting the work into the video to avoid this, but I forgot to do that this time. This time I had four songs in the video, and the worst part is that youtube won't tell you which one is owned by a company that doesn't allow it to be played online through their agreements.

So after several more hours this morning searching for which song was not allowed, I think I finally have songs that are allowed to be used. Now I have re-edited the video and have it exporting again. Hopefully by late tonight or tomorrow I will have something to show from youtube.

Uggghh, what a pain. Just venting my frustration. I know most of you that edit / upload videos have experienced the same thing. While you can get around that by using other services, having the video on the most popular site for maximum exposure is hard to beat.

I feel you pain Mike! This is a very painstaking endeavor and then to have it blown out of the water. I have just given up using utube much to my dismay and diverted to vimeo which is a avenue of least resistance. Thanks Mike and i can not wait for the video to come out. Thanks for all the time and effort.

          Mike,

Upload on both. I'd like to see the original "Director's cut" myself.

Yes, the Director's cut is going to be your best one, because it is the way YOU really wanted it to come out.
We'd rather load to U-Tube for exposure, but man, do they nit pick.
On one of our Arizona 400 miler videos, they sent Whipper an e-mail that he could be infringing, because of some music. This wasn't because of music we directly downloaded to the video, it was because the music he had on his I-Pod that came over on his radio/speakers (maybe 30 second worth) during different clips on our ride had a few songs that they had a problem with.
            DUH!
Vimeo doesn't give us that kind of grief.

Nice clear video at 720p. The Flip ,Ultra video cam really shoots some great video. Just point and shoot, and you,re right in the moment.

My view on the music.. don't use any. Leave the original audio shot with the vid. I want to hear engines and mechanical whirring/clunking noises, voices. I can play any music I want at home if I want to cover it up. Not everyone's going to like another's music, so why impose it on them.

Sorry, Roger, gotta disagree.. only a little. Some videos are excellent with no music. But music can add to the mood & stir some emotions about the moment. Also, covers up those bad 4 letter words that sometimes slip out. I've continued to watch some real boring stuff sometimes simply because the music enticed me to watch it to its completion.

"Bigfoot Note" Take a clip from Arizona Banana Buggies & play it with no music, then play it with the Theme song & I guarantee which one will make you laugh harder.

all my machines have finally made it home from Busco... went and picked up the racer from McCoy's house this afternoon. oddly when i got there the header was hot i need to get it cleaned up, then tear down the t-20 to replace a leaking o-ring. should be ready in time for ashtabula
the rest of the fleet has been cleaned and serviced and are all ready to go play again. really minor carnage on this trip which is rare for me. the only thing i had to fix was a sprocket tube in the hustler. i broke a bolt in the right center axle on saturday and it took a sizable chunk out of the sprocket tube.
hopefully i have the issue with the hustler engine shutting down when it got wet resolved. i found that i was able to duplicate the symptoms with the pressure washer and went to searching. i found an intake leak on the rear cylinder. once i got that fixed the carb had to be reset, and it is now WAY closer to Briggs recomended settings. it also occurred to me that i had forgotten to put boots on the plug wires when i changed out the ignition coil. i believe that was the major problem as when the tidal wave of water would pour into the rear of the machine, it was giving the spark an easier path to ground. i can't kill the engine with the pressure washer anymore, so now i need to find a pond to dive it into.

Hi Everyone! - Tom and I had a great time – I agree this keeps getting better and it’s awesome to see everyone again and meet new folks too. The riding was great – plenty of mud and water. Also good to see more 6x6 gals !! Wish we were still there… Lewis – thanks for the slide show – loved the pics

Can’t wait for the next ride !
