In the small mud hole that Lee and Dan,s son both got stuck in, you,ll see Dan shift into low gear to drive out. Dan told me that he could have drove out of this mud hole in high gear, but his tracks got widged in between the atv rutts on either side of his Argo. The 14 inch wide tracks on Dan,s Argo are wider than most atv mud tires , and this becomes a problem some times if there are deep rutts on the atv trail that you,re riding on.

How well do the Mudbugs swim in water? They look to be pretty decent in the mud. I'm sure the debate has been posed here somewhere, so I'll search the forums. I'd love to hear what Lee has to say about them on his Argo.

Lee drove my Argo through every difficult situation he could find, after driving my machine asked me to tell every one on the forum that he is so impressed with the new admiral transmission that he is ready to sell his Argo. I drove Lee's machine while he drove mine and the standard Frontier is one fine machine. Lee kept telling me how easy my machine steered and how much he enjoyed never losing drive in swamp conditions.
One of the things he asked me to tell everyone is that you can change directions in the mud with admiral transmission and he has not seen another machine that can do that in deep mud.
If anyone is interested in a great Frontier Lee wants to sell his.

Wow, Lee's Argo will be a great buy for someone looking for a used machine. I've always admired the machine in all the videos, and the build quality that Argo delivers is unmatched. The Mudbug tires are getting hard to find and they are one of the top tires out there.
That Admiral transmission in the new Argos is definately an innovation. The differential style transmission was the only thing on the old machine I didn't like. I always figured Argo would come up with their version of a T20, but they took it up a notch with the two speed Admiral.
Lee what are you getting? That Argo 8 wheeled HDI looks very tempting.

I talked to Lee on the phone after he,d left the atv park , and I asked him if he might consider an Argo 8x8 Frontier with the admiral transmission that will come out in 2012. Lee told me for the trail riding that he likes to do, the shorter Argo 6x6 would be the one he,d buy.

Lee doesn't like to post so------he asked me to post the following
Lee told me he didn't like the 8x8 for the conditions he rides in (simply to long for the tight woods-trails and cypress knees which are all around every trail), he said he wanted a Frontier equipped exactly like mine minus the the winch and bush guard (He likes his front end clean). He was also a very big fan of the tracks and said he wanted his machine set up with 25 inch rawhideIII's, said he didn't like the fragile 24" tire and didn't want to lose the ground clearance the 25" tire provides. He spent a lot of time turning my machine a raved about the ease of turning with the tracks. Lee took me through every root filled climb and every spot in the park where he thought I might have a problem and my machine excelled every time. At the end of the day he was asking my son if he wanted to buy his Argo.
I kept telling him he had a wonderful machine and he kept saying he wants an admiral transmission, my guess is Argo and the Admiral has got another believer.

Dan: Your Frontier is a fine machine, so I can see where Lee is coming from. In fact, I'd love to have a Frontier like your's too. Between the 23HP Briggs, great ground clearance, fine build quality, Adair tracks, good ergonomics, etc., its one heck of a machine in still a fairly small package. I suggested the eight wheeled machine because they offer lower psi to the ground, greater grip going over obstacles, more stability/less likely to rollover, greater cargo carrying, etc.
