  • April 2011 , river run , atv park video,s

While I let Wildtexasranger,s 7 yr old son JR drive my Argo Frontier through some muddy trails , we both met up with a man and his wife in a 1000 cc ,Canam Commander ,side by side. This machine had a 3 inch lift and 30 inch Mudzilla tires on it. After I answered lots of questions about my Argo Frontier , I then asked the Canam driver if he,d take us to the worst mud hole that he knew of at river run , atv park. When JR and I got to the mud hole that he,d told us about, I realized that I,d driven through this same mud hole before. The Canam side by side driver told JR and I that this mud hole had stuck 5 Polaris Razor, side by sides ,that had 28-30 inch Outlaw tires on them. I let JR drive my Argo Frontier through this bad mud hole forwards and backwards and JR had no problem doing it. After watching 7 yr old Jr drive my Argo Frontier through this mud hole several times, I then asked the Canam side by side driver if he,d like to try driving through it too. I told him if he could,nt make it all of the way across to the other side , then I,d pull him out with my Argo. The Canam driver did,nt make it a third of the way across before finally calling it quits. While he was driving forwards ,side ways and backwards , he was slinging mud 15-20 feet away , and in all directions. I was standing 15 feet away and still got hit on the side of my face with mud. When the side by side driver finally called it quits his machine was leaning over so far side ways that thick mud was filling up his floor boards. I told him and his wife to stay in their machine and that I,d pull them out with my Argo, but I guess they both did,nt hear me. While I was driving to the rear of his machine to pull him out backwards, he gets out on the drivers side and then sinks in thick mud up to his waist. His wife decides that she,s finally had enough fun for one day, after her husband sprays mud all up the right side of her leg and onto her white shorts while trying to drive out. When she gets out on the passenger side she,s in thick mud up to her upper thighs. I wanted to laugh but I did,nt. When I backed my Argo directly behind his Canam, I let him free spool my winch line. It took him five times reaching into mud up to his shoulder to finally find a place to attach my winch hook to. I then backed up far enough to get on solid ground so I could pull him out, and this left me with only 2 turns of winch line wraped around my winch drum. After I got him out I let JR drive back through this mud hole again. After watching JR drive my Argo through this bad mud hole, he told me that there was,nt a mud hole in the park that would stop our machine.

David; of all videos you have ever posted the first video with JR driving in that thick mud was simply awesome! In fact the first video may be the best AATV video I have seen anywhere!!!!! That Argo made short work of a mud hole that would have stuck just about any other machine in less than five feet. I was impressed that JR was able to stop, start and back up in that thick mud, in fact I was impressed that your machine was even able to turn the tracks in that awful mud! The fourth video with you pulling out the four wheeler was pretty cool to. Thanks for taking the time to make and post these great videos.

wildtexasranger your hustler looks like it gets around pretty good....and JR is looking pretty comfortable in that Argo 6x6...need to give him a tow strap and let him work evenings and weekends pulling out stuck 4x4's...not a bad part time job ;-)

          Awsome!!!

It was nice to see a little more of the park from some of the videos. I know you guys like mud, but I kept thinking that there MUST be more to the park.

JR is so light that the Argo looks like it's on remote control. I'm going on a diet.

Great videos Mudbug, liked the little story about the commander!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

The atv park where we ride at has over 80 miles of trails that have been verified by GPS the park owner told me. There are lots of good wooded trails, but these trails constantly twist left and right so you can,t cover very much ground in a hurry. This also waste a lot of video time as we,re driving to places that can test our machines with tracks. Bridget, the very next time that we,re at the park I,ll try to shoot some trail video,s ok?
