Hello all! For anyone who is interested I am planning a ride at St. Joe State Park as stated on Saturday, June 4th. It's located in Park Hills, MO, which is just about an hour south of the St. Louis city limits off Highway 67. There is 2000 acres of sloppy mud, deep water, trails, sand, and pretty much any terrain you can think of to test out your machine. It's almost as if the place was designed for the amphib enthusiast. Anyways, it would be really great to ride with some other amphibs so if any of you are interested consider yourself officially invited!
I'm going to do what I can to spread the word to the two nearest amphib dealers from me to see if we can get a group going.
The only rules at St. Joe are a helmet and an orange flag on a mast (and no alcohol- sorry). They sell them there for $20, or you can use one from a place like Wal-Mart that is for bicycles for about 5 bucks. Bikes, jeeps, trucks, atvs, and side by sides are also allowed if you have other machines to bring.
It's a nice place with a bike wash area and bathrooms and a nice campground with showers for anyone interested. Hope to see some of you out there!
