I got the T20 back in my Max last night. Didn't get to test it other than a quick forward / reverse check. Other than a little adjusting I should be good to go.

I'm glad to hear you got it all ready to go!

It's not usually so crowded! I picked a good day, so good it's so good I feel like everyone is coming!!!!! I heard there's gonna be about 5-6 offroad clubs there 10-15 vehicles each. There's supposed to be a Hummer club, Land Rover club, 2-3 Jeep club's, and a Bronco club.

The only real problem with all those vehicles in one place is the gawking! It only takes one vehicle at the front of a big line, he'll stop to try a real tough trail/climb, and everyone stops & blocks up the trail to watch!! I have heard that the main trails have been significantly widened since my last visit, but I can't say that for sure!

I'll have my Wife as a Copilot, and she's gonna be taking plenty of pics!

        Gulches

I'll be there tomorrow about 0900 with my Max one of my sons and my Grandsons. I am not going to bring my quad because I can't get the cooling fan to come on any I don't want to take a chance of overheating the engine. I'll have my camera so we can get lots of video! Hope there is plenty of mud and water , I am looking forward to going through some rough areas!

I'll be there about 1030, and the park doesn't open untill 10AM. If you plan on being there at 0900 then you may end up waiting a while!

I just checked the Gulches forum for an update on park conditions. Noone has been out today, but a few locals say it's still very nasty in the area. They had heavy rain early this week, and it's all going to be standing water & mud at the park. The amount of clay makes it a very slow process to dry out!Time for some real fun!

Yesterday I had a blast! Gulches was perfect. Mud everywhere and great people to ride with. It was great meeting Dan and Jeff in person. You guys rocked. Plus Jeff really knew the area well and was able to take us to the hot spots.

I had just gotten my T20 back in and evidently didn't tighten the motor mounts down enough. About half way through the ride I realized that two bolts had come out and the motor slid sideways binding the belt on the clutch. Fixed that and later had fuel delivery issues.

Dan also experienced some fuel problems on really steep inclines. If he stayed up in the air for more than a few seconds it would cut out on him. Jeff also had some fuel issues. It was weird.

The only person that didn't have any problems was McCoy. Perhaps that new fuel aux. fuel pump really paid off?

Anyway, here are the pics: http://www.6x6world.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/542

Dan took lots of video so hopefully he will post that up soon. I have a little video that I will get up ASAP.

I think the highlight of my day was next to the river. There were several mud holes. Most of the Jeeps, quads, etc. avoided the mud so all four of us showed them how it was done. I hit the mud so fast one time that the of the Max sank down and splashed. When it did it covered my back and head with mud water. I had a grin on my face the whole time.

And that was the theme of the day. Fun. We had plenty of it. If you've never been to Gulches, I highly recommend it...just invite me.

Great pictures Mike. I like your seat.. I could see the 6x6world.com on the cover.

Wish I could have been there. But, I was able to get in over 10 hours of riding and almost never crossed the same trail twice. Friday had a great 3 hour night ride.

What is the story with the Vampire tires? Did anyone have an edge of the other?

                  Mike ,

Those were some really great pics you took of the ride , you guys went on . It looked like some exellent challenges for a amphibious machine . I did not know the later model Argo Bigfoot,s had the handle bar steering ? Did they also have the updated CVT , and new ratio trans too ? I can,t wait to see the video clips , when Dan post them .

Mike, I would have loved to see the highlight of the day with all of the jeeps and quads avoiding the big mud hole and the 6 wheelers going right through it. This sounded like you guys got some good exposure for the site and some good exposure for AATV's there as well. Did a lot of people come up to you and ask you guys a million questions about your machines?

Thanks for the compliment on the seat.

As for Dan's tires, they did really well. There were several places mainly coming out of mud holes that we got to see what kind of traction they really have. My tires took a minute to get traction where Dan just walked right out.

I'm sure in more extreme conditions we could really tell a difference. This mud mainly had clay bottoms so we all got decent traction.

When we got to the bottom mud pits we really did draw a good many onlookers. A couple came up to us and asked about them. Mainly how much they cost. We tried to put on a good show for everyone

Mudbug, I'll let the Argo guys chime in on those questions.

As for the weather, Greasemonkey couldn't have picked a better day. It was a little chilly in the morning (Chilly for us is in the 40's) but by lunch time we were coming out of our sweatshirts.

Saw all the pics you posted. Can't pick a favorite, they were all good. You guys found ANOTHER great place for me to open up a quarter car wash. Can't wait for the videos.

I want to thank Jeff, Mike, and Dan for a great ride. I had a ball! The mudholes were great. I thought that it was hilarious that none of the quads or trucks would attemp the holes we were going through. It is going to take awhile to get my machine clean though. There is one shot that we missed though. At the end of one hole, there was a small hill to climb up that was severely rutted. Jeff and I both went up it and then went to get Mike and Dan. When we came back, I tried it again, I splashed water all over it, got it slick and started high-centering the machine in the ruts. After about 10 minutes of trying to get up it, I finally gave up. Jeff tried as well, but couldn't make. All of this time, Mke was just sitting back and analyzing the situation. The first try, he made it up. I know tat everyone could see steam coming out of my ears. I was either going to make it up or turn the machine over trying. Before Mike could get his camera out, I spun around, got a running start and hit it wide open. All I remember is aiming for a steep bank on the left side, the machine tilting up on the side, and then bouncing out of the hole. I guess my ego had gotten the best of me to do that. I need to speed up on building a rollcage after that.

Hey what a great time! Nice to meet a few of the fella's! I can't wait until the next ride when we will have a even more AATV's. Each Machine Demonstrated a certain ability and a certain advantage in certain types of terrain. It was really fun to watch! I am processing video as we speak and will get it on the site as soon as it's ready. Hope these videos encourage more folks to show up for our next event! Thanks to everyone for a really great time- DAN.

I had a blast. The wife was into a cleaner sport, so she played in my jeep all afternoon. She took the argo out by her self after everyone had packed up & left. We had a good time at Gulches as usual, and it was good to meet everyone in person!
Between the jeep & the argo, I was cleaning for about 6hrs today! That's the most fun, and the dirtyest Ive been in a while! It was well worth it.
