Just got done preping the hustler raring to go, whipper just helped me put the hustler back together after our last ride I had some bad luck the tranny studs snapped and the tranny was bucking every time I applied the brakes we tried to tie it in place with climbing rope to get back but no way...after about a mile or so of this the tranny was bucking so hard it ripped the welds on the shift linkage and the rear seat support bracket ......I'm TOAST.....had to tow me back so we had a look at it back at whippers and DAMM it didn't look good the two rear tranny studs were sheared off--- three broken welds....so we decided that the studs most-likely won't easyout... had to get new cases(used thanks to brian AKA Snorky for the cases) then whipper noticed that the tranny drive sprockets were worn and a little noise in the bearings so we decided it all should be changed before the big ride week (8th thru 14th of april) So went down to apache gear to tear down the tranny and while we were in there found out why the tranny was allways popping out of gear on me... the shift coller springs had popped apart and it wouldn't hold the tranny in gear so fixed that too. then re-desgined the rear seat mount and got the back seat fixed also so we tested her out down whippers street and she run's good very quiet!! 6 1/2 weeks to go I took the week off for the outtings were going to have a BLAST so don't forget your cameras, shorts and sunblock....hahaha.....I'll be bringing meals on 6 wheels to take care of lunches on the rides too...how do you like your rattel snake? and remember FOUR BANANA'S MAKE A BUNCH AND SO DO MANY MORE!!! .....TRA LA-LA
Glad your up and going Rob! Time is ticking away. March 2 and only a few weeks left before the kick off. I think it would be great if Mike was able to join the group on this trip. Crush is ready, just have to put some lights on and they are on their way. I am really looking forward to this Adventure. Tra La-La. See you guys soon!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
I think these will work nicely, i didn't realize the song in the background.
The clock is on guys!

primary and throttle cable is not right sticks, we were trying to get the clutch off and broke a 6mm hex head off in it been working on it for the past couple of days since its not raining, don't have a garage ,we went to the bundy hill ride and that's where we found out the clutch was broke , Matt of mudd ox rode us around for awhile ,but we loaded up and got a room for the night as my son and I was up about 24hrs straight, hope to get it going soon
