Bud, you have got to get your machine down Texas and run some of these mud holes with your Argo. I would just love to see how an 8x8 matches up against a 6x6 in these extreme mud conditions. I have to believe that your 8x8 with the lower geared transmission would walk through all this stuff without an issue. I would also guess that the light weight of your 650 Frontier and the extra traction of the 8x8 would be king in these conditions. Perhaps you could meet with Noel and David and have a 650 Frontier 6x6, 650 Frontier HD, and 650 Frontier 8x8 mud fest.

That was some excellent riding. No machine could have made it through that area without the Adair tracks. My Max4 had to have 400 pounds of caked on gumbo on it. The 650 HD is an ideal machine so equipped.

This is the video that Dan posted about. This was some really thick mud. When this video starts you'll see me backing out. Just as soon as I drove into this mud hole I noticed a spot directly in front of me that would have got me high centered. This is why I backed up and changed directions. I then began to wonder if I could drive out of this mud with out asking Noel to pull me out with his Max IV.

Great videos Mudbug, Thanks for pm-ing me about them. I sent you a pm as I watched in a separate tab. There were a couple of times in the last one where I found myself actually LEANING to get the machine through those holes... I had to laugh at myself...Thanks again, and great job You should get the IMAX people to ride along with you sometime, now that would be cool to see "IMAX Argo Adventure", I can think of at least 7000 people who would go see that one.

Reference video five on page six: You ought to send this video to Argo and tell them that the counter rotation in low range works against the machine in situations like these where you are trying to get the most drive possible to both tracks. I watched you manipulate the handlebars to keep the drive going to both tracks and watched that counter rotation work against you.

I keep thinking I will never say this again, but the mud in video number 5 have has got to be the worse mud I have ever seen. That is the first time I have seen a machine with Adair tracks turn into slicks. I simply cannot beleive that machine could move in that awful mud. I don't believe any thing without tracks could make it though that mud.

The video I am referring to is posted on page six

This is a video some one uploaded a week after the mud nationals were over. Our amphib group crossed to the opposite side of the endurance race right after it ended because of no more entries. We got some really good exposure that day!

I think with the competition that we watched that day , second or third place would'nt have been that hard if we'd drove straight down the middle of the endurance race where the water was a little deeper.

If we would have run one of our Argo's with the Argo swimmer tires, we would have smoked every one of the 4-wheelers in the endurance race I think.
Not sure about that, but pretty confident we would have at least finished...lol :-)

Did you notice the 8 wheeler had only 7 wheels and was still carrying and pulling? Hope you got video of you guys running through the pit. Thanks for sharing guys!!!!

Glad that you enjoyed these video's Lewis. Yes, I did notice the guy in the 8x8 with 3 wheels on one side and plastic tracks. I talked to him but he was'nt interested in riding with us or even swapping phone numbers for an amphib group ride. It was no challenge for our machines driving down the mud pit , so all I did was shoot some video of the hundreds of people shooting video and taking pictures of us while we were driving down the mud lane and away from the crowd.
