If the ride is north of Rochester, I may cross the border from Montreal (with the wife and kids)
have a place on Route 11 in N-E NY state so I can cut my driving time a bit.
Smog if you cross the border in Rouses Point and head west 30 miles you will be driving by my place where I go to ride. At Churubusco,NY. Google Map Churubusco,Ny and you will see all along the CA Border and down to route 11,quite a challenging place to ride. Do it all the time ,but by myself it is not as fun and you don't put the machines to the test if you don't want to walk 4 or 5 miles out of the woods. It is all private and I am an owner member of Wetlands of Clinton Hunting Club. Off of hunting season we can ride anywhere we dare go and I have my own Shack aside of the lodge. I put on 40 45 miles this weekend and almost did not make it out. My rear rim came loose before I noticed it and wallered out the holes and almost sawed off the lug studs.Running tracks in about a foot and half of snow. Railroad bed was nothing but a glass bottle.Could of used skates to run the bed with.Slow going most places. Maybe sometime we can get a ride together.
Ha ! we have a camping trailer / mobile home in Ellenburg depot and we usually cross the border at Cannon corner so every summer week-end I will be less than 10 miles from your place. Sure it could be possible but I have to make sure the US regulations are OK with a Canadian registered ATV riding on your side of the border.

You get it across at the border without trouble you wont have to worry about riding on our club.It is all private land. The sides of the road is where you would be stopped but crossing they can't touch you. This year is the first year in ten I have a registered and insured any machine.Let me know when you are over and we can grab some food and I will show you around.
Hey Hogneck, I'm originally from Massena. Wish I could move back ! Miss the Walleye fishing and Whitetail hunting and Ruff Grouse ! Don't know if I'd know how to fish the eyes now, with those zebras clearing up the water so much though.

The Copper Ridge Trails in Olean, NY are no longer open so unfortunately there isn't a ride there anymore. Not too far from there, just across the PA border is Majestic Trails. From what I hear they used to be good trails, but have been heavily worn by the many people that go there.
