Oh my gosh, that's a good mud hole. What time of the year is it, Dave? We could be a camera crew. High and dry, maybe not dry.

        Roger ,

I found this date on the High Lifter website .

The ride is Jun 3rd, and is located near Hebert, LA. That is south of Shreveport , Louisiana . There are lot of trails to ride through the swamps . The big event though , is at " suicide hole ". That was the video I posted . If you want to go , I,ll try to make it .

        Here are the details .

The ride is sponsored by Wish I Could Of Northeast Louisiana, Inc. Proceeds from the ride are used to grant wishes to terminally ill children in Northeast Louisiana.
Last year, over 2,100 ATV riders attended the ride. The route is a 17 mile mud run through a northeast Louisiana Wildlife Management Area, with some of the most outrageous, snorkeled and lifted big bore 4x4 ATVs imaginable.

The ride is set to begin at 8 a.m., running until 5 p.m. The entry fee is $20 per ATV at the gate. The pre-registered entry fee is $15. To participate, you must have a valid LA hunting or fishing license or a one-day stamp. To purchase a LA Wildlife One Day Stamp, call (888) 765-2602.

Concession items and souvenirs will be available on site. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed.

For more information and to pre-register, call (318) 728-2300 or fax (318) 728-2304. Information can also be attained by contacting: Wish I Could Of Northeast Louisiana, Inc., P.O. Box 366, Rayville, LA 71269. You can also contact the Monroe-West Monroe Convention And Visitors Bureau at (800) 843-1872.

The Wish I Could of Northeast Louisiana, Inc. is not supported or offers an opinion of any other ATV rides held by private companies or other charities. They are a Non-profit charity and use funds as advertised for children with terminal illnesses in Northeast Louisiana.

            Roger ,

If you and I go to the Marengo Swamp run ,do you think our amphibs will make it though the thick and soupy mud , in suicide Hole ? You know the tire combination that I,m running on my Max IV , but will the tires on your Argo Resonce ,make it through a long mud hole , like this ? Would Jons Argo Frontier make it through this ?

Here is another video of it .

                mud hole

You Gotta be Kidding- my Max would walk right through a mud hole like that!Man get outta town! soupy Mud with water, that's what AATV's are made for. This looks like the same stuff in the coned off hole at Gulcthes and it didn't even present a challenge! there wasn't another four wheeler that would even try the stuff that we thought was easy!

It would be fun to go. Don't know what my time and $ will be like this summer. I'd want frontier tires before I go, too slow otherwise.

If you decide to make the Marengo Swamp run ,you better bring some tires better than rawhides , to make it though suicide hole .

It would be like "Ya'all stand back so ya don't get hurt" cause the mud would be flyin'. Don't get me thinking about tires, cause I want 9 of 'em and wheels too. Guess I need to get off the computer and go to work!

                            Swamp ride

I have taken a week off work during this run and we meet mudbug in La. Don't know if I can make the suicide but everything else looked a lot easier than the terrain i have around here. hopefully by then I'll have all the kinks worked out of my Max and Be ready to go. The Trail ride I took with Greasemonkey, McCoy and Mike taught me alot about six wheeling. there are certain things you can only learn by watching someone else with more experience and learning from them. I learned a little someting from everyone. Some times you got to power through, sometimes you have slow down and walk it through. Whatever the situation calls for. The more you ride AATV's the more you realize you are seldom really stuck, you just have to change your plan of attack and try something else!

I hope you can make Roger, and I hope by then you'll have your Argo 24" tires. With all eight of those swimmers maybe you'll be able to do better than the rest of us! Lets get down and give it our best. Buy then I should have my max set up the way I want it!
