Pittsburgh Area April 28- May 2

My girlfriend and I will be back in that area (unfortunately it's during the week). It would be cool to meet up even if not to ride with anyone from that area (convincing dad to get out the superchief will take a little more work).

Count me in! I will have my Attex w/ Whipper's 1 1/4" solid splined axle upgrade ready by then, and maybe even my racer. I have some friends down that way so I would certainly make a trip down that way. Pittsburgh is probably only 2 1/2 hours or so from Buffalo.

Where in Pittsburgh? Are you going to be near uncle Dave's? Somewhere in the area of Blairsville, there is a campground that has ATV trails. I'm not sure if they allow real ATVs or just the quads.
There's a good area to ride in Finleyville, but I'm not sure where to park other than JustinF's house.

Jp, unfortunately, Pittsburgh is probably more like 5 hrs from Buffalo - it's about 2 to Erie, 2.5 to Cleveland.


We'll mostly be staying in Greensburg - about 20 min from Uncle Daves south west (I don't know if he would be up for any get togethers given his condition). We should have a car to borrow but, my dad is kind of stubborn and probably won't take off work/ let us borrow the attex and truck - but maybe .

One other problem I am trying to fix is, none of my dad's machines have any title so, public land or parks may not work unless the park is okay w/ non registered machines.

Techfx, I live in North Huntingdon which is 25 min from Greensburgh. I am up for going riding. 5 min from my house (20 min from greensburgh)is 100 acres of trails with part of a slag dump in it. It has everyting from mild to wild, hillclimbes, mud, a giant pond and miles of trails. Where ever you decide to go let me know.

Yea there is a place to park the trucks and trailer. We sould go riding sometime. I normaly only get to ride with quads.

Looks like a cool place (and great location). If the land cool to ride a non-registered atv on, I'm in. Maybe I'll even push dad to get the springer out.

Riding with quads sucks.
I've done it once or twice and its not near as much fun. I keep trying to explain to people that I can spend hours playing in a couple acres of woods where the quad riders speak of traveling miles and miles to have some fun.

Techfx and Liflod, you don't need to be registered to ride where I go. It is owned by an out-of-state industrial company. People have been riding there for almost 30 years and never had a problem. I also have been riding there for years.

I'm still going to be back in Pittsburgh/Greensburg next week - It's doubtful that we will have anything ready to ride and my dad works 2nd shift (he hasn't commited to taking any time off work). Maybe I could meet whoever is around for a beer or something. There might even be some wrench time on whatever racers my dad could salvage/fit in his garage from my uncle's.

I am pretty free to do whatever in the evenings. Techfx, you are welcome to go riding with me one evening. We can take my Argo 8x8. Liflod, are you up to go riding one evening next week? We can go where ever you want but I went riding at the place from my video last night with some friends and had a blast. Whatever you guys want to do let me know.
