  • Terra tiger engine swap options?

I am tired of throwing out my arm trying to get my Terra Tiger started, So I would like to swap it out with a 4 stroke electric start. It has a 292cc Arctic Cat snowmobile engine in it now. I also have 2 JLOs around here, but I need electric start. I know I will need different clutches. So if anyone can recommend a engine/clutch combo that would work well please let me know. Also wondering who else has swapped engines in a terra tiger(pics).

In my attex I put one of these in 16 HP Gas Engine With Electric and Recoil Pull Start : Carroll Stream Motor Company : www.carrollstream.com. Put a comet 94c clutch on. Attex runs great and has lots of torque.

You can get a 16 hp duramax with electric start for $289 free shipping at maxtool.I just put this motor and a comet duster clutch in my stepsons Argo. The comet duster clutch was $225 and I was surprised at the power with this set up.

If it don't have 6 wheels and floats.. isn't any good to me. Have you ever tried floating a 4 wheeler across a pond... Doesn't work very well does it?
