Ok i'm trowing in towel and asking for help! I have a RIM from what I can tell it has the original G50B still in it I have replaced the crank seal on the clutch side of the motor, the spark plugs, new mikuni Vm34mm carb with a .210 main jet. I can get it to start and run. It smokes a lot and blackens the plugs like its running rich. It also gets very hot like it is running lean. After letting it cool down for a few minutes you can start and run it again just fine for another few minutes. I do not have all the electrical hooked up yet and the exhaust has a couple leaks I wouldn't think that those two things would cause the problems that I'm having. Does anyone have some advice for me? I can't figure it out for the life of me!!! Thanks Brent.

Here's a link to the Chap manual on this site. The G50B isn't listed, but the timing procedure & specs are the same as the G44B. If you have the points set, the timing is generally pretty close already. You may want to change the crank seal on the flywheel end just to make sure that's not a problem as well. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/conte...ts-manual.htmlStuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
