  • Carb Question vm34 on Big max

Had to change the throttle cable on the Big Max last weekend, ordered one from RI, and the "replacement cable" operation required the "choke" cable to come out... After all reassembled... the kawi seemed to be needing more air, removed the choke cable and the machine ran like a rocketship, after several attempts to adjust, same symptom, poor to no acceleration, remove cable and blast off again ! If the cable is adjusted all the way down.. (no choke) runs ok,,, but not as good as when it's removed. Any idea's?

Might be dumb to suggest this ....but you didnt pinch the cable when you set the body back down did ya?

Never a dumb question, lol ... most issue's are created by things we do that were dumb and don't realize ... and, no, i'm sure of that.. .When the engine is warm and at idle, I turn idle slightly higher and adjust the choke cable at carb until the engine chokes out, re-start, re adjust idle and test drive.
