I have recently re-done my exhaust system, (i have a Hustler btw...) and i picked up a old snowmobile muffler. it is a little large, and i am still working on installing it, but it definantly made my Kohler 440 much quieter. Let me know if that helps any.

You may be able to use an older version of the Max II mufflers (that used a two stroke engine), or an Attex muffler is a reasonable size and shape which may also work for you. I'm sure there are a couple folks around the board that may have an extra Attex muffler for you if that works. If you could, get a shot of your engine bay and where you want to run the muffler. That'd be a good start in figuring out the size and shape of what you'd need.

lol, my attex 225/hustler had a car muffler on it when I got it. You can even see the hose clamp holding it in this picture. I redone it using a atc 250r expansion chamber and it sounded awesome. I had to cut some of the bend and reweld them so they bend the right way and turned out pretty good. I then welded some pipe on the end so a lawnmower style hotdog muffler would silence it some. I dont have pictures of it and is apart right know but when taxes get back Im going to start working on it again.
