sachs amphicat question

I am rebuilding an amphicat and am looking at sachs engine that appears to be more complete and in better running condition. My question is the second sachs engine is reverse of the amphicat. meaning the exhaust and carb are on the opposite sides. Is it possible to turn the cylinder and head around so it would match the amphicat engine?
