2 stroke timing

Does anyone know how to make a test light for timing a 2 stroke or if someone makes one? I am trying to get my Attex together for the ride coming up.

Are you talking about setting the points to open at the proper point? Seems like I used a test light with a built in battery to do this. You can get them at any parts house.

All you need is a flashlight. You can take it apart and wire it so that the points are taking the place of the on/off switch. A 6 volt lantern works great: use the battery and bulb and a couple jumper wires. Batt pos to bulb, then to point wire, batt neg to engine ground. The bulb will be lit all the time, but dim noticeably when the points open.
