  • Fd620d bent push rods

Can anybody tell me why both pushrods on number one cylinder are bent I recently picked up this argo and it was sitting for a while but I changed the oil before I even tried to start it it seemed to run ok but I never driven one before so I guess it could have been under powered any ideas hopefully just a little sticky valves

Common problem for this engine. I don't know the exact process that causes it but it is often associated with old fuel.

Be sure your valves move freely before replacing the pushrods, valves should snap back freely. The gum build up on the valves make them stick or lag thus bending the pushrod, many times it will just kick them off.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

What is the best maintenance method to avoid this incident seems like I'm having the same problem, I see some oil sludge building within the oil cap.

I like to use a little MMO or ATF in the fuel. I also use only 91 octane.

Will these chemicals won't harm the engine itself?
