  • Argo 8x8 Kawasaki, runs fine at idle, but skips and bogs under load

starts fine, idles good, I can rev the RPMs, but when i put it under a load it skips. Bad Gas, Sticky Valve? any suggestions or ideas please.

    I'm guessing in a conquest? The fd620d?

read up on bent push rods and you might be surprised to find that it may be running on only one cylinder. (I was when it happened to me.)

Also could easily be a dirty carburetor.

These also are notorious for hating old gasoline.

Thanks for your thoughts, I'm hoping it's dirty or watery fuel, gonna drain and replace the gas and see what happens

I agree, had the same problem recently, valve was damage due to water contamination. Have the fuel system cleaned asap to avoid further damage.

Check your valves only takes 10 minutes

Well, I started it yesterday, it's running fine. I should mention, the symptoms happened last winter, it was snowing and really windy. I was riding it pretty rough when it happened. We got a blizzard and my plow truck died, so I trying to create a drivable path for my car with it, I was fish tailing it back and fourth rapidly. I'm wondering, could I have gotten snow or water in the air intake?

I put it away after that and haven't taken it out partly because I didnt want to get stuck somewhere with it, although I have run it a few times over the summer, it seems to be fine now, plenty of power.

I dont know what to think, any thoughts?
