  • Bandolero Piston

Well I am back in the US and already in the garage rebuilding my Max II. I tore down my Bandolero engine and while cleaning and inspecting it I found that I need to replace some parts. Does anyone know the part number for a Bando piston or engine. So far I know I need to replace both pistons, all push rods, and possibly stator. This might be a good time to upgrade to a 20amp stator, what do yall think. Any help would be greatly welcome. Thanks 6x6 family.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
          Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

                  HI
Call 600 racing ,they keep the pistons in stock . The brand will be wiesco .
As u are rebuilding the engine it would be wise to replace the original rods [if installed ] with after market H/D units .

There are no part numbers, only job run numbers. Wiseco and Arias both MFG pistons for 600 and performance v-twins and only sell to them. both are fair with there prices and very helpful.

I have no issues buying from Performance V-twins I was just looking for another source for parts, I don't like to be tied into a soul source supplier so this is what I found out:

Spoke with the people from Arias last night and they were very helpful. They will sell you pistons with a min qty buy of 4 if you only want 2 they charge an extra 50% so you would end up paying for 3 pistons to get two. They can make pistons for any briggs engine, tell them your requirements and pay for the min qty.
Also spoke with Wiseco they pretty much have the same deal but the person was not sure on the min qty 4 or 6.

Thanks all, I was able to get a hold of the guy that built my Bando. He is now working in his own shop and I am awaiting my pistons along with rods. I will keep you posted on how he does business and if his prices, and product is worth your time and money.

Yea. He was the one that built my engine to start with so I am trying to see how he does now. He already knew what I type of pistons which made that a little easier.
