  • Onan?

20hp onan motor. project or parts
I would have to rebuild it but then I'd know it was good. Are these any good?
    Anyone run them?
Engines are kinda scarce. The hustler has a clone 16 horse now.

No idea how well suited they are for this application but they run strong and forever in generators.

There good engines, the parts are getting harder to come by. For that price its worth it just for parts. John Deere put these engines in the JD 318 Lawn Tractor and they run great.

So it would work good for a Hustler motor?

If you can rebuild the Onan,I feel it would be a good choice for your Hustler. That's what I bought my M-18 for but ended up putting it in the Attex I just built. I'm most certain opposed Briggs came in some Hustler models. Should be able to use original hood without butchering it up to clear the engine. I like my M-18,nice and smooth.

I'd avoid the Onan, parts are WAY too expensive and VERY hard to come by. Save yourself the headaches and money and wait for a Briggs Vanguard or Kohler Command to come up.
