Any superchief engine upgrades?

Im looking for more power from my 500 super chief. Any ideas? Any one put chambers on theres and if so what ones work and what kind of power increase we looking at? Thanks

A bigger carburetor like 34 or 36mm Mikuni VM along with a Unifilter will help.

If you haven't already, making the switch from points to CDI is a good idea.

I'll second on the CDI and bigger carburetor (38mm Mikuni works great). Dimensionally, the 440 Rupp/Xenoah G44BW LC should be a good try for the chambers. I have a set but haven't tried them yet. If you can find a stock pipe from a Chaparral SS440 sled, that adds some power without blowing out your eardrums (as quickly).

Don's suggestion on pipes would be your best bet unless you have a degree in engine tuning or rocket science or you like to go through a lot of trial and error. A 38 mm carb jetted right will give you the biggest bang for the buck.

Anyone have an idea of what jets in a 38mm carb? Im looking for a chamber exhaust but having a hard time finding one.
