Hi Jim its the 750 engine not sure what trans it is ? I'll need to look that up somebody mentioned the belts and asked if they were low on the drive pully but wasn't sure what they meant ? It feels like not wanting to pull and even worse going up hill ? Any tips I'd be greatfull many thanks

The standard differential trans comes in hi,med, and low gearing, and then there is the Admiral triple differential trans that will not rob power when turning like the others.....If you are losing power without turning that isn't your problem anyway. Obviously the med and hi geared versions of the std trans will not have the power of the lower geared one. Did you just buy the machine, or did the problem just appear?
The belt should start out at the top of the pulley on the trans, not sunk down in at all...it is best if it sticks up about 1/8". With the machine in neutral, rev the engine. You will see the belt climb on the pulley on the motor. When it starts to move up the engine pulley it should also start to move down the trans pulley. If your belt is too loose the belt will move too far up the engine pulley, and not far enough down the trans one......this puts the machine in the wrong gear ratio and robs power!
