  • Gas Tanks

Mine is shot. Could I just make one out of large PVC pipe and caps? Plastic seems like it could build static which is bad, but then again the whole dang thing is plastic.

Why not use a marine tank then. I doubt insurance will cover your machine with a homemade gas tank.

how about a portable boat gas tank

I would just use a portable boat tank if mine went and add the fitting to the gas line . Then you could buy a metal or plastic one if you have a preference

              Gas Tank

You would need to ask a Max guy on what boat tank fits but they do come in all shapes and sizes.

As far as the Insurance goes it may be covered for liability but difficult to cover for comprehensive / theft

Kind of a touch subject but I wanted to know what some of the guys her do to prevent theft. Aside from the obvious, lock it, insure it,keep it out of sight and hope for the best.

I've taken a chain, padlocked one end snug around the axle behind a tire, and the other end to a tree, car, post, etc.

                  Is this a bad thing?

Not if you hiding in the bushes with a shoot gun.

Seriously though it really depends some can be complacent their whole life and not have a problem and some can take all precautions and fall victim to theft. I think this type of machine may not be stolen as often because it appeals to a better class of decent people . Some do not even know what the heck it is.

My post man though it was some type of military vehicle.
Let’s see how far some one gets by taking a military vehicle.

I saw this on the internet and thought it would be neat to mount under the gas tank on the bracket of my Argo. I did get it but it may be useful to someone else.
