I've got two, one is on a compressor (13hp single) and have another on a welder/generator(16 hp). Both are very reliable and have electric start with manual backup. Both fire up in hot and cold weather easily. Even with the recoil started each will crank on the first or second pull like clockwork. Both motors will run at full load for hours on end without overheating.Originally posted by Cdwamsley View PostHas anyone ever used a Duromax 16 HP engine? XP16HPE:
If I had a small machine that needed an engine, this would be it. Even if one failed, they are cheap enough to buy 3 or 4 for the equivalent price of a B&S.

Okay, here is one for you. I have a Sachs 280 that runs good, the problem is the carb (Tillotson) is crap no matter what I do with it. I cannot get a Mikuni on it because the starter is in the way. I am thinking about relocating the starter to the other side of the engine so the starter would be on the exhaust side, then I will have the room to mount the Mikuni. Think I can get away with that?Originally posted by thebuggyman1 View PostIf changing from a 2 stroke to a 4 stroke, then yes, you will need a new clutch."Racing is life. Hopefully someone else will chime in, if recalling correctly the jug can be spun 180 deg also putting the carb on the opposite side.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
