  • Hustler 2 stroke carb troubles.

Got a k440 2 stroke kohler. Has a walbro carb. I know everyone says upgrade. To mikuni. I will eventually but until then how can I fix mine. Mine was running great but a lot of fumes. Now it feels like it's running on one cylinder. It's firing so I'm assuming the carb. Plugs are wet, very fumey, and real sluggish trying to reach top end. Also almost always have to choke it to start it even tho you can see the fuel setting in carb. Help please. Really wanting to ride soon.

I am by no mean's a pro at these and a beginer with 6x6s, but I really wanted to master dialing my Walbro since it is what came with my Attex 400 and I'm just stuborn I guess. And after about five times taking it apart due to still not perfect but learning more everytime I got it dialed and it runs perfect.

This link really helped me out and pay special attention to the metering lever measurement it has allot to do with how it will run. http://vintagesnow.com/Carburetors_f...aintenance.pdf
