Chaparral G50B Ignition Question?

Looking at an old RIM Max IV (possibly mid 70's) and am new to the 6x6's so I've got a million questions. Here's one, the 6x6 I'm looking at has a Chaparral G50B engine. Did these come with points or a CDI unit? Is there a quick way to tell the difference? Seems to run good but I'm looking at the down the road maintenance that'll need to be done, and it's been a long time since I've done points.

This will be a breaker-points type engine, although it can be upgraded relatively easily to a CDI ignition if you wanted. The air cooled G50Bs never came with CDI to my knowledge, but parts from other models of the Chaparral/Xenoah/Fuji engines are a direct fit.
