  • 16 Vanguard heads, Nubs,fmints?

OK, dropped an exhaust valve guide on the right side or front head of Sandy, as tempted as I am to just tap it back in I think I'll have them replaced.

So here's my question to which I think I know the answer. Are all the 16 heads interchangeable provided they are from the same side? 1 head stamped 30/ 1-3 and other stamped 30/ 1-G.

    Thanks to all in advance.

Early and late style, early has larger rocker studs with a stud to hold the valve cover and uses different rocker arms. late uses the bolt n two piece rockers.

Rockers look the same and studs interchange, good to go?

Thanks Fred, running full power but now smoking will be trying seals but may have hurt the rings on the rideback. Also only had steel gasket here so that cyl has a little more comp. than the other.
