  • WDA-30 keeps flooding at wot...

    Hi guys.
    I got a 1986 Hustler 900 with the chaparral g50b 484cc twin 2 stroke engine.
I idles nice, but when I hit the throttle, the engine revs for a second, and then dies, due to flooding. It smokes like crazy, also. I played around with the adjuster screw, but nothing helps. Any suggestion what I can do?

    Thanks in advance

sounds like its time for a good cleaning and a new carb kit

Have you done the simple things like change plugs / leads etc?

I forgot a couple of things. The engine revs to about 3/4 just fine, when I go to wide open throttle, it wont rev, but die. If I let the throttle go back to 3/4, the engine won't die. I replaced the spark plugs. Wires seem to be ok, since the engine idles fine, and revs up to 3/4 throttle fine. I ordered a rebuild kit for the carb, hope this will help.
