How do I figure out the part# of the kit I need? I have a 96 18HP vanguard

Does this look right?

Go here and click on engine brand on the right side and then type in your engine number on the left and it brings up all the part numbers

Typically with briggs engines u have to enter MODEL ,TYPE , SERIAL NO to gain acces to the CORRECT parts . As u can expect there are many changes in the one engine even over a very short period of time and also for application. eg 18hp vanny has at least 2 different carbs with and without fuel cut solenoids .
There is not many parts to a vanny carb anyways .

For future searchers this is the correct kit for an 18HP vanguard. Pricey!
