Honda gx200 help please

Hi Guys
I hae been pulling my hair out (well what bit I have!! lol) I bought my son an Havel buggy and it had an up grade engine by the last owner GX200 instead of a GX120, The old engine had the kill switch in the cad and ran lights but never had a battery! the new engine has the kill switch on the engine, i think i know how to wire that back to the cab, but lost with the lights? any one know how to wire it into the GX200?
Also I have just bought a lectric starter kit for it.
sorry its not 6x6 related just lost on this one, and had lots of help with my briggs when it was poorly.
Any help would be great.

Just run a fused wire off of the battery to one side of the lighting circuit and another wire to the other side of the lighting circuit to ground. Splice a switch in-line with the power wire from the battery which will interrupt power to the lights when you don't want them on. Just make sure you use wire and a switch that's heavy enough to run what type of lights you have and a 15 amp fuse should be good.

Thanks for the reply, yes using the lectric start kit I was going to tap off the battery, but not sure if to use it yet as the buggy needs to be started rea wheels off the ground.
So how do you connect the lights just on the engine, when no battery is fitted? this is how they are on the GX120 Engine.

I imagine they run the lights from the alternator output. Wire from alternator (or regulator if there is one) output to fuse, then to switch, then from there to the lights, then to ground.

Ya, with no battery, the way phabib said is really your only option unless you install solar lights. ;o)

I have a yellow and a black wire going to a small box? is this it?

The small box is probably a self resetting thermal breaker. You'll have a small heating element in it. When it gets hot it triggers a switch to open and kill the power. When it cools down again it resumes allowing power to pass. It is built so that it only generates enough heat to kill the power when you run too much power through it.

To get those solar lights to work, you'd have to aim your headlights at the panels and then how would you see to drive?
