Torque output

Does anyone know the ft lb torque ouput on a kt17 series II Kohler, want to compare it to the command pro CH25S 25 hp 44 ft lb torque. Was planing on switching out kt17 for the 25hp command pro in my 8x8.

That's a tough one projectman. I took a 16hp briggs out of a Max lV and put in a Kohler Command 20 and noticed a world of difference. Way more torque. I do know some folks would remove the head gasket from the 17's and 19's and use RTV sealant and get a little torque boost. Gave them approx .030 less clearance between piston and head. I personally wouldn't try it though. Not for the minimal amount of torque you'd get from it.
