  • Belt measurement

Have replaced engine in argo from a two cycle to a four cycle and now engine sitting in a difference position. How do you measure between the two clutches to get the proper belt length or is there a diagram on line that may help me. Thanks

Several ways to go about this. 1) Get a taylor's tape, measure the loop distance around the clutches, then get on the internet for one that's the proper length as well as width. 2) If its close with the current belt, a shim under the engine might work. 3) Rework the engine mount and get a distance for a common sized and inexpensive belt.
