18hp Vanguard start

HI All
Can someone help me out with how to start my engine out of the MAX II. I want to insure it runs good before I install it. It has not been run in 5 years, I will be cleaning the carb, new plugs, ect . Just wondering if I need to jumper any pins on the wire harness and what needs to be done to shut it off.

The ignition should work just the way it is. The kill wire is the small plug on the edge of the fan shroud. Jump to ground to kill it.

If it has a fuel shutoff solenoid on the carb it'll need to have 12 volts to open.
