Kawasaki fd750d engine swap

Good day i put in a fd750d carburated engine in a 2003 argo conquest. I followed the videos and info from this site. I am at the point of wiring it in. My question is how do i wire it in to the original ignitor or do i get a new setup for that engine. I got it new from the dealer and it didnt come with one. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave,

Here is my swap thread. In it I have the electrical diagrams. The FD750D family does not use an igniter; it is a magneto ignition. You will have to change out at least* the wiring to the key switch.

* I said 'at least' there because somewhere in Argo history I think they started using a switch that is capable of working with both types of ignition. I had to change the switch. Mine's a '98.
