    Argo big foot vanguard 18hp engine help with hose connection

    Under the air cleaner there is what looks like a port for a vacuum hose that goes to the carb. Should it be connected and if so to where I just got the unit and went to clean the carb and found this port open to the outside world.

    On my Kohler 17hp the crankcase breather hose goes in that hole.

        Like Jim mentioned, it is supposed to be like that. It looks like a gas or vacuum line should be attached but it should remain open.
