Vanguard head mods

Thinking of pullin my 16hp briggs and moddin the heads. Should I mill them or run a metal gasket to bump compression? If a gasket which one? I want the highest I can run on 93. Any tips on porting them?

the EX ports clean up nice



you can cut the seats and bowls and install the 21/23hp valves. there is a thread here some where that has part numbers etc for the gaskets

Great writeup. Should I mill them .060?

anything more than 0.35 with the steel gasket and you start to run into intake n exhaust manifold mounting problems

No I wanna mill .060 and run a graphitol gaskets
