I have come a cross a company called "Ecotrons" that produce EFI and Turbo kits for small engines. They offer A Multiport Fuel injection kit with a Turbo charger and a custom tunable fuel mapping computer with a built in rev limiter that is specifically built for the Briggs and Stratton Vanguard Engines. the Complete kit for the EFI and Turbo costs $1600. I understand I will have to build the engine with a lower compression ratio and performance internals and head studs to handle the boost pressure and remain reliable on pump gas. does anyone have experience with this company and their products or have done a similar modification? with a low gear ration and high rpm capability spooling up tis turbo and producing tons of power on the trails should make for a pretty potent combination. I'm not looking to make an Argo out run a RZR; I just want to be able to drag one backwards up hill if they challenge me to a pull.

Just will not work, its been tried over and over with the small v-twins, there's not enough cylinder volume / exhaust pressure to spin it. once you get above 7K you'll come close but it takes 50 yards to get there, then you need to hold it to ever start to feel it. the triggers/hall sensors for the flywheel are hard to set for each cyl etc
For 1,600 in parts one can have a strong, long lasting 50hp suckin' air on it's own

Another thing to consider B&S engines are made with low grade metal. Run too lean which is not hard to do on Turbo engines and you won't have to worry about out pulling the RZR. All the shrapmetal from the explosion will keep you too busy figuring out what happen.

Turbo's are like 2 strokes. If you can keep them in the power band they're great, if you can't you can keep them.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
