  • Learned something Interesting about my kohler "18hp" magnum engine

I just learned last night that a few yrs ago my grandfather loaned his argo,
(my argo now) to a neighbour, that returned it with a blown engine... So he took it to a guy that does small engine rebuilds etc. He bored out the block and put in over sized pistons & rebuilt it to solve the problem. So apparently it now has a little more hp.. Can someone tell me how to find out exactly how much ? I know it doesnt realy matter, just currious.

my guess would be that it didnt really increase the hp that much if any.. he prob went from a standard ring kit to either mid size or over size depending on the cylinder walls.

Well maybe they upped it to the 20 hp version, maybe not? Just thinking they did may be enough.
