  • Kawasaki TA440 swap to B&S 18hp need guidance Max IV

    Looking for ideas or proven plans on fitting the B&S on the motor plate of my Max IV. Bolt pattern is different, B&S is much wider than the Kawi.

    Any ideas and PIC's of completed projects is greatly appreciated. As well as hurdles like alignment of the pulley or belt size upgrades required.

    For belt and alignment info, I came across what seems to be a great reference but I'll admit I haven't put the info to work yet. I'm not that far along. It's the Quality Drive Systems 2009 Baja Catalog. It's too big to post, but send me your email and I'll forward it to you. It has pulley alignment data based on clutch type and a schedule of belts based on center to center distance from engine to transmission.
