Intake manifold question

Thanks guys, I never put antifreeze in it and went ahead and ordered the gaskets from the local saki shop. I'd rather not be 20 miles in and start loosing coolant into the head.

it puts added stress on the intake manifold with eliminating the gasket thickness. its not for me but it may work for yrs like that..

Intake manifold question
So I'm doing a valve job on my 95 conquest and like an idiot forgot to order manifold gaskets, hit the local Kawasaki shop and no luck. Went to the auto parts store thinking I would get a roll of cut-it-yourowndamnself gasket. Talked to the guy at the parts store who I know and trust and he threw me a tube of permatex ultra copper and said "this will do the job". So I used it and now have it all back together but am questioning my decision on the permatex. I have not run it or put fluid back in it yet. Anyone have any thoughts on permatex for intake manifold gaskets?Tags: None
My held in opinion, possible cracked manifold could occur as that thickness is for a reason.
