Kohler Ageis water pump failure

This is a first for me, how often do you see a water pump failure on these liquid cooled Kohlers. Got one apart that had pump seize and the notch belt was strong enough to break the plastic drive gear on the camshaft. Would have been a lot easier if hose clamps were turned so they were accessible in the chassis.

How many hours did it have on it?

I'm guessing 3-500. Digital readout is dead. It's a 2012 but has been brutalized. Was still full of antifreeze.
