  • Diesel in a Super Swamp Fox

Noel, Is that Winsun still doing the job? Have you had any problems with the set up? I am planning on running the same motor unless I get a great deal on a Robbin Suburu 22 hp engine. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!!!

Hmm, following. I just started searching through the diesel threads My Neighbour just gave me a rebuilt 3 cyl Kubota diesel for free! Wicked score but I'm not sure what to do with it lol. I can't decide if I should put it in my Max (currently has 25hp Kohler) or my Melroe that has a very reliable but old 15.5hp Onan lol. Decisions, decisions...

The Winsun is a very reliable motor, no problems to date. Its very powerful and has a lot of torque. The only down side is that its a bit louder than your average air cooled engine, so I drive with ear plugs in, which as a matter of fact I do now while driving all my atvs and mowers, and weed eaters. I didn't use to use ear plugs, but I've been trying to save my remaining hearing, after many years in the Army and playing around with loud machines. The other upside of the Winsun, it goes twice as far on a tank of fuel compared to a gas engine.
