Thats what im thinking the Tecumseh is pulled and the i/c upper will give me lots of room and havent found any used v twins even close to that money and cant justify spending 600$ on an opposed 18 used with no idea its previous life...

We've been running the predators for years and we are far from easy on them. Started with the 420cc singles that ran great and upgraded to the 22hp's now just because. There was/is nothing wrong with the 420cc's. We run them without governors and custom exhaust and they run GREAT. I would recommend using one.

After running the wornout16 hp Tecumseh i dont expect to need to remove the governor on a 670 but for ****s and giggles would the 420 have the jam to run an 8 wheel argo?

I'm sure the 420 would move the machine around fine, but you wouldn't have any power for getting over obstacles. Also the 670 makes nearly double the torque of the 420, 33 ft-lbs versus 18.4 ft-lbs, respectively.

I myself would not pass on that deal because its Chinese our camp runs on genset alone and for years all I would buy was Honda the last one went 10 years and then the generator packed it in and a repair was expensive so I rolled the dice and bought a Champion (Chinese Junk) and it has out lasted the last Honda and is still going strong at 25% of the cost of the Honda.Cheers NCT

Other than my slight carb issue our engine has been good and it may be a governor spring issue now. Don't forget to relocate breather tube.
It pulls very strong in Phil.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
                Joe Camel never does that.

I believe is at least as tall as the 23 maybe a tad taller due to air cleaner style.
                    Check harbor freight specs.

Ok got it home and unboxed ...question should thekeyway on the old techumseh clutch be that shallow ? It appears to be about1/4 the depth it should be?? Ive missplaced the original key.??

The key cut in the old crank may differ to the new engine. Just get some key stock and cut to length you need. Make sure if FILLS both the crank and the clutch so it won't flip out or shear .
