I have a 14 750 HDI. Love the machine but find in deep snow and climbing hills it runs out of HP quick. How can I get more HP/torque out of my 31 HP Kohler?

Just curious, but what tranny are you running? standard or high torque?

Running an Admiral standard. Didn't mention in my OP but I tried low range but no help. In fact high was better than low inmost cases.

I made the mistake of having the high gear ratio in an 2006 Avenger I bought. At high altitude in deep snow and tracks it was an absolute dog power wise. I went to a conquest with the low range tranny and even with the 20 hp vs 26 hp in the avenger, it is a better machine in those conditions. The tranny gear ratio makes a huge difference when running tracks in our conditions. I will never own an argo w/o the low range tranny.

you don't have many options with the liquid cooled Kohler and the admiral tranny. You are right ,the low range is not for most uses. if you are stuck with the higher gear ratio transmission you do have the option of running the 24 inch tires to get a better ratio at the track.
