  • carburetor problem

    hey guys,

    So ive been working on my terra jet va-6 on and off since last year but continuously have a carburetor problem. I a wondering if its even the stock carb( any way to tell??) and ive been looking online for my Tecumseh oh160 but the carb is discontinued , anyone know the replacement or what else i can try ??

    any and all help wanted

    I'm no expert in this area. Also, I'm terrible at using the search functions but I'm pretty sure you can put a Mikuni carb on it. Just need an adapter that can be purchased on ebay. Hopefully someone else will chime in here.

      There is a thread on here somewhere where a member put a kohler carb on it with very minor modifications, I did the same but carb was too small on my HH120. It is still on there and runs fine but a tad lean.

      My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

        The kohler carb was a K341 I believe. As I recall, it bolted up OK. The air cleaner and mount may have needed some "adjusting". I also recall the results were excellant. I was going to put one on my OH160, but I think I'll repower with a Predator when I get the time.
